We are committed to helping create safe and respectful hockey environments, but you don’t have to be involved in hockey to take advantage of these important and empowering programs.
If you are connected to amateur hockey in Canada, see section #1 below for more information to ensure you receive credit for completing the program from your hockey organization. If you are not connected to hockey, but are a parent, leader, coach, or official, see section #2.
If you are not connected directly to any sport or organization, thank you. By taking one or more of these programs as a community member, simply for curiosity and goodwill, you are demonstrating your desire to help make sport fun, safe, and respectful for everyone involved.
Section #1: As someone connected to minor hockey in Canada, you may be required to complete one or more of The Respect in Sport Parent Program, Respect in Sport for Officials, or Keeping Girls in Sport. After completing a program through this site, you can “IMPORT” your certificate to your hockey organization. To do so, access the URL for the appropriate program from your organization. URLs are generally found on the organization’s website. If you are unsure about which URL you need, contact your hockey organization directly.
Section #2: As someone connected to sport other than hockey in Canada, you may be asked by your sport organization to complete one or more of The Respect in Sport Parent Program, Respect in Sport for Officials, or Keeping Girls in Sport. After completing a program through this site, you can “IMPORT” your certificate to your sport organization. To do so, access the URL for the appropriate program from your organization. If you are unsure about which URL you need, contact your sport organization directly.
IMPORTANT: To take advantage of the offer provided by Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited, you must complete the program from this website. Select the appropriate program access button displayed after you close this “Learn More” notice. If you complete any of the programs outside of this website, you will NOT be refunded for any program access fees.
Please note: Only the individual registered will receive credit for completing these programs but family and friends are welcome to go through the programs as well. Everyone benefits when we are better informed and able to help make sport safe, fun, and inclusive.
While Stay in the Game is ideal for young athletes 10 to 13, parents/family members/caregiver are encouraged to view the program with them. Discussing the topics with your children and applying what they learn to their own experience helps them develop as athletes, teammates, and confident young people.
